The cave under protection as a monument of inanimate nature is an excellent example of karst phenomena. The total length of the corridors is 57 m, and 4 openings lead to its interior.
The cave has a poor dripstone form. It is inhabited by several species of bats (large bat, gray bat, western barbastone) and spiders. It owes its name to the local population. According to legends, devils were supposed to fly out of the depths of the cave to do evil.
Near the main entrance there is a depression that was probably created after backfilling the mine shaft. The area around the cave, which is part of the Góra Żakowa reserve, was a search site for silver and lead ores between the 15th and 17th centuries.
