The inanimate nature reserve "Góra Miedzianka" with an area of 25 ha was established in 1958 and covers the hill of Góra Miedzianka (354 m above sea level).
This hill has three peaks connected by a picturesque rock ridge. Within the boundaries of the reserve there are also two closed quarries and the area of a former copper mine, active here since the 14th century. The remains of the mine are the main "Zofia" adit piercing the entire massif of hills, the "Antoni" mining shaft and many small shafts, fissures, sinkholes and heaps.
In outcrops we can find stones with green (malachite) or blue (lazurite) veins of copper compounds. Karst phenomena occur in the reserve, as a result of which a system of caves was created. The caves and old adits and excavations in the reserve are an excellent shelter for bats (spot bat, whiskered bat, red bat, Natterer's bat, great bat and barbasket).
The rocks and the sunny slopes of Miedzianka are overgrown with thermophilic thickets with the participation of e.g. cotoneaster, juniper and roses.
