Starachowice railway station was opened in 1933. The stop is also called by the inhabitants as Starachowice Zachodnie or Starachowice Dolne. It has two platforms and two platform edges. It is located on the connection of line No. 25 Łódź Kaliska - Dębica. Platform 1 was modernized in 2017, and platform 2 in autumn 2018. In addition, the station gained two shelters with benches, lighting and display cabinets with the timetable.

At the stop there is a railway station, built in the mid-1970s. It served as both a railway station and a bus station. There were three cash registers, an information desk and a traffic dispatcher at the disposal of passengers. In addition, there was a waiting room, a kiosk and a buffet located in the building. The station was closed in 2004. In the following years it was notoriously devastated. As the property of PKP, it was waiting for appropriate development. The Starachowice commune has announced a tender for the reconstruction of the station square and the construction of a two-level car park. The goal is to create a suitable space for city buses and taxis, cars and buses. In addition, there will be parking spaces for bicycles. Work started in 2021. Work is still ongoing.
