Monument to the patron of the Świnia Góra reserve. Dr. Eng. Stanisław Barański (1913 - 2005) devoted his entire professional life to work for forests.

A regionalist, social activist, author of many scientific and popular studies on the history of industry, settlement as well as beekeeping and changes in the flora of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains Land.

Achievements in the field of forestry concerned, among others forest management and cultivation, in particular the management and care of stands with a significant share of fir and Polish larch, so characteristic of the Bliżyński Forests, and being a remnant of the former Świętokrzyska Forest. He has published a total of 235 publications, including 206. Honorary Member of the Polish Forest Society, Honorary Member of the League for Nature Conservation.
