The original wooden chapel was built in 1876 on the road connecting the northern part with the southern part of Łysogóry and leading through forest areas inhabited by wild animals.
That is why the patron of the chapel was Saint Nicholas, a defender of travelers and a symbol of mercy and charity. Unfortunately, the old chapel burned down in 1996. The current one was rebuilt at the initiative of the employees of the Świętokrzyski National Park and the local population. Inside there is a figure of Saint Nicholas, the author of which is Jarosław Winiarski, a folk artist from Bieliny.
