In the nineteenth century, other industrial plants were built on the Kamienna River. The machines working there needed the energy that was given to them by… the Kamienna River. It was no different in Brody.

Stanisław Staszic, designer of the line of industrial plants by the Kamienna river, envisaged the role of rolling mills and pudding plants, pig iron treatment plant from unnecessary ingredients, for the plants in Brody. Powerful machines working there were powered by energy obtained from the dammed Kamienna river. For this purpose, a dam with a length of 350 meters was erected.

Clad with stone blocks, decorated with interesting columns and cornices, more fitting the palace than the dam, it testifies to the craftsmanship of 19th-century designers. Currently, only a fragment of the building has been preserved, which was incorporated into the new dam. Thanks to it, a tourist, sports and recreational center of the area was created, a i.e. recreational reservoir. The Brody reservoir is known especially among water sports enthusiasts - kayaks, motorboats, scooters and pedal boats are available for rent.
