The construction of the narrow-gauge railway began during the First World War. In 1924, the line was led to Święty Krzyż, near the village of Hucisko. Initially, it transported wood to the sawmill in Zagnańsk. In the 1930s It was used to transport iron ore from the mine in Rudki. Later, it served as passenger and tourist. Ultimately, the tracks were dismantled in the years 1967–1977. Its most characteristic elements - embankment and bridges railroads are on the cycle route. The Big Bridge was 5.5 meters high. Its design is still impressive today. On the way, there is also an old quarry (about 200 m from the trail, it leads to it signpost). The final section of the route is quite a steep climb, and then an exit to the ŚPN (Świętokrzyski National Park) ticket point in Nowa Słupia, near which there is a monument to the Holy Cross Pilgrim, Emeryk.
