The hillfort in Stradów

Many centuries ago the biggest and most powerful early medieval hillfort ever built on Polish lands existed here.

The main fort on 1,5 hectare called burgstall was surrounded by three craft settlements: Waliki, Mieścisko and Barzyńskie covering 25 hectares. The hill fort is considered by the historians to be related to the Vistulans’ state.
