Kazimierza Wielka is located on the Nidzica River, on the communication route that connects Kraków with Busko-Zdrój.
The history of the city is connected with the existence of local industry. In 1845, count Łubieński built a sugar factory here, which contributed significantly to its development. When going to Kazimierz, it is worth visiting the Church of Exaltation of the Holy Cross, built in 1633. On the main altar there is a painting of the "Crucifixion" probably painted by Franciszek Smuglewicz.
Next to the temple there is a bell tower from the 19th century. Another interesting place is the nineteenth-century palace complex with a park accessible to tourists, where you can encounter, among others huge erratic boulder.
A characteristic feature of the town is also a residential tower, dating from 1888, often called a tower or a round timber. Its interior once housed apprentices of the sugar factory.
