East of the Staszów market square, the most valuable monument of the town has been standing for centuries - the Church of St. st. Bartholomew.
According to some sources, already in the 12th century there was a wooden church in this place, which was destroyed during the Tatar invasion. The church was rebuilt in the 14th century - this time as a stone and brick temple.
