The high church tower, rising over 30 meters, attracts the attention of tourists wandering through Koniemłoty - one of the oldest towns in the vicinity of Staszów.
For centuries, Koniemłoty belonged to the Benedictines of Łysa Góra, who founded a small church in the village in the 17th century. The temple was not lucky - a fire consumed it already in the eighteenth century. However, the effort of necessary reconstruction was quickly undertaken.
You will enter the area surrounding the church through a climatic gate in the 19th-century wall. Pay attention to the building of the former monastery as well as chapels and figures - the Mother of God and Christ the King - and the monument of Father Roman Kotlarz, born in Koniemłoty - one of the heroes of the events of Radom June 1976.
Inside the temple, take a look at the chancel richly decorated with stuccoes. In the main altar you will find a painting depicting the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in a dress from the eighteenth century.
The Benedictine pedigree of the church is evidenced by wooden figures of the patrons of black monks - Saint Scholastica and Saint Benedict.
The pews for the clergy, or stalls, are decorated with paintings depicting scenes from the life of the Virgin Mary.
