The Geoeducation Center located in the "Wietrznia" nature reserve in Kielce is a modern facility related to Earth science as well as promotion and tourism.
A visit to this place is an excellent introduction to a better understanding of the geological phenomenon of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains. The main attraction of the Center is the interactive exhibition "Podwodna Stacja Badawcza CHRONOS" ("CHRONOS Underwater Research Station"), where you can see the scenery of prehistoric seas from 360 million years ago, stand face to face with the largest predator that swam in these seas, take a virtual journey through the history of the Earth aboard the 5D Capsule.
In the part of the exhibition entitled "Geolaboratorium", you can learn about various geological processes through interactive exhibits, and after the exhibition you can play the role of a stone grinder, attending workshops at the "Geology Fan Club". Outside the facility, additional attractions await visitors: the Geological Garden of Experiences, a playground and an educational path leading through the "Wietrznia" reserve. The Geoeducation Center also organizes geo-educational parties and events as well as field trips. The facility is the seat of the municipal institution – Geonatura Kielce as well as the main information point of the Świętokrzyski Geopark – UNESCO World Geopark.
