If you have already visited the Tourist Complex or the Jewish Jar, you surely know that millions of years ago the area of today's Bałtów was located on the edge of the land and the Jurassic sea.
Jurassic limestones that we meet in Bałtów are proof of the lush life at the bottom of the Jurassic sea. One of the most magnificent ones is located on the right, steep slope of the Kamienna River valley. A complex of rocks with fanciful shapes is protected here. Among them, there are four towers, a cliff and the so-called pulpit. These forms are made of limestone rocks - sedimentary rocks formed by the remains of corals and mollusks depositing on the bottom of the Jurassic sea.
Worth knowing
The vicinity of Bałtów is gaining more and more popularity among rock climbing enthusiasts. For those who tirelessly climb up, excellently prepared routes on the 16-meter Nihilist Rock or Dinosaur Choppers await. If you just want to start your adventure with climbing and you don't have your own equipment, you can rent it on site.
