The forested hill of Chełmowa Góra (348 m above sea level) stands out with the naked eye from the landscape dominated by meadows, fields and small towns.
Chełmowa Góra has long been an object of interest for nature researchers who strove to surround it with strict protection. It was on Chełmowa Góra that a nature reserve was established in 1920, which gave rise to the entire Świętokrzyski National Park.
Currently, Chełmowa Góra is an area of strict protection and an enclave of the Świętokrzyski National Park.
