In 2011, the bridge over the Slowik in Kielce was demolished. The building, which existed on the Bobrza River since the 1930s, was built to commemorate Capt. Kazimierz "Herwin" Piątek. He was the first to enter Kielce with the First Cadre Company, on August 12, 1914. The originator of the monument is Artur Hajdorowicz, director of the City Development and Revitalization Department.
