The facility is run by the Świętokrzyski Branch of the Polish Geological Institute, and the collections are on display at the headquarters of the branch at ul. Zgody 21.
Established in 1964 thanks to prof. Halina Żakowa. It was made available to tourists in 1992. The museum's resources include exhibits such as: rocks, fossils, minerals, 220 cataloged scientific collections.
