The temporary wooden chapel was built in 1919 by the efforts of Fr. Stanisław Gruszka. St. Barbara was designed by arch.
W. Borowiecki, founded by heir Stefan Wielowieyski and parishioners in the years 1935–1936, thanks to the efforts of Fr. Piotr Figurski. The church was consecrated in 1936 by bp. Paweł Kubicki.
