The church is located in the center of the town, along the trail leading to the top of Łysa Góra. It is worth paying attention to it, as it is inseparably connected with the history of the city.
The first records of the church in Nowa Słupia come from the fourteenth century. The originally wooden church was replaced in the 17th century by a stone, brick church. The simple shape of the church on the west side is decorated with statues of saints - Lawrence, Scholastica and Benedict.
The interior of the church is decorated with an altar made of local stone - the so-called Chęciny marble. The mystery is the mysterious stone sculpture of a woman outside the church. So far, researchers have not been able to determine its age or origin. The inhabitants of Nowa Słupia call her "Emeryk's wife".
