The church stands on a small hill, away from the main tourist routes. The vicinity of a small park invites you to stay a bit longer, rest and learn about the interesting history of this temple.

In front of the church there is a square where the church of St. st. Wojciech. Today, its southern side is occupied by the Church of St. Joseph and the buildings of the former Reformed monastery from the end of the 17th century.

Interestingly, an orthodox church operated here in the nineteenth century. The buildings were not spared by fires in 1089 and 1944. Before entering the church, pay attention to the courtyard that surrounds the wall with the chapels of the Cross, designed by Józef Karsznicki - the designer of the present church on Łysa Góra.

In the bright, baroque interior of the church, the altars and the decoration of the presbytery draw attention. If you are wandering around Sandomierz under the supervision of a guide or you have permission from the local parish priest, a trip to the church crypt awaits you. There, in a glass sarcophagus, the earthly remains of the daughter of the Sandomierz voivode, young Teresa Izabela Morsztynówna, are buried.
