After the fall of the November Uprising, Prince Adam Czartoryski visited Święty Krzyż with a group of Polish officers.
He gave a political speech in front of the church. So when the news of his death came, the local people who remembered the event erected a Mound-monument in honor of Prince Adam Czartoryski.
It was consecrated in 1861. On the plaque placed next to it, there is an inscription: "The Mound of Prince Adam Jerzy Czartoryski, commemorating the patriotic and religious demonstrations of the Polish society - towards the invader. Solemnly consecrated on September 14, 1861. Destroyed after the January Uprising by the authorities of Tsarist Russia. Rebuilt on the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence ”.
