While hiking through the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, we encounter amazing works of nature at almost every step, including: geological curiosities, often accompanied by local history, inextricably linked to the history of Poland. The entire region is extremely rich in testimonies of past years, including dramatic ones related to partitions and war activities. During this trip, we will reach a special place that is worth spending a few hours on. The Mausoleum of Martyrology of Polish Villages is a moving and very suggestive exhibition commemorating the murder of the civilian population of Michniów, but also of several hundred other Polish villages pacified during World War II. The route leading through the forests of the Sieradowice Range is moderately difficult and also allows you to reach its highest peak, Kamień Michniowski, 435 m above sea level.
