As we learn from the plaque placed next to the locomotive, the city of Skarżysko-Kamienna is a center that developed around a railway junction important for Poland.
On January 25, 1885, a historic railway line was opened in the Kingdom of Poland connecting Dęblin and Zagłębie Staropolskie with Zagłębie Dąbrowskie, the so-called Iron Road Iwanogrodzko - Dąbrowska.
One of the stations was located in Bzino (now Skarżysko-Kamienna). The launch of the line contributed to the increase in freight and passenger traffic and the railway trains serving them. In 1947, on the basis of the pre-war Pt 31 locomotive, a new Pt47 locomotive was designed, which stands in front of the railway station in Skarżysko - Kamienna. It was produced in the First Locomotive Factory in Poland in Chrzanów in 1948. It worked in locomotive depots in Poznań, Bydgoszcz, Tarnowskie Góry, Skarżysko - Kamienna and Rozwadów.
The locomotive was decommissioned in October 1998.
