Many tourists who plan only a short stop in Słupia, located slightly off the beaten track, stay here for a bit longer. They are captivated by the peace and beauty of ancient trees looking at each other in the pond.
The heart of the manor complex is the current seat of the commune authorities. The building was erected at the end of the 18th century and extended in the next century.
The two-storey building consists of the main body and two annexes. Already from the front, passers-by are greeted by a decorative front with a niche in which there is a figure of the Virgin Mary. The hall looks interesting. There is an atmospheric tiled stove and forged spiral stairs.
When visiting the complex in Słupia, pay attention to the commemorative plaque dedicated to Wincenty Witos. A well-known activist and politician came to Słupia in 1944. He lived in one of the rooms on the upper floor of the palace, waiting for a transfer to London (which, incidentally, did not happen).
The plaque in the hall commemorates another fact from the times of World War II - there was an underground school in Słupia. Its beginnings were modest, but at the end of the occupation, almost 100 people passed their final exams thanks to this institution.
The charming park is an ideal place for a short relaxation and tranquility. There you will find trees that have already received the status of natural monuments - among them lindens, maples, plane trees, larches, elms and pine. To the south of the manor park, you will find a picturesque pond with an alley that invites you to take a walk.
The park in Słupia is complemented by a romantic linden alley, which will take you to the church of St. Holy Trinity.
