Today, the wooden church stands at a busy crossroads in Bodzechów. Its history, however, is related to the town of Wsola, which is more than 80 kilometers to the north.

It was in Wsola, founded by the Bishop of Kraków, Kajetan Sołtyk, that the third church in a row was built in the 18th century, and another church in the 1930s.

The change of the church in Wsola coincided with the desire to build a place of prayer in Bodzechów by Aniela Kotkowska - the owner of the Bodzechów estate and her son-in-law, Jan Gombrowicz from Małoszyce (father of the famous writer - Witold Gombrowicz).

The plot for the church was donated by Mrs. Kotkowska. Jan Gombrowicz donated for this purpose larch wood obtained from the demolition of the church in Wsola (the rest of the wood was purchased at a nearby sawmill).

The design of the building was made free of charge by Tadeusz Rekwirowicz - the architect of the nearby Zakłady Ostrowiecki. The designer cleverly combined the original style of the original church from Wsola with the trends prevailing in the interwar period.

The nave, presbytery and sacristy have retained the dimensions of the original temple. The church does not have a porch, thanks to which it gained a magnificent facade - the gable is decorated, as in Wsola, with interesting pointed arches. Below them - four window openings provide the interior with a large amount of natural light. The entrance has no additional decorations apart from a modest, shingled roof.
