Opatów's town square is a good place for a break between the walk from the collegiate church to the underground tourist route.

The town square is now called Defenders of Peace Square. It is a rectangular square in the city center. On the southern frontage there is an entrance to the underground tourist route. While walking around the town square, pay attention to the town hall building on the eastern, much shorter frontage of the square. The Town Hall is located in an atmospheric, shingled tenement house with arcades and pillars. Come inside - there is a Tourist Information Center on the ground floor.
