There is a water reservoir in Lipowica, it covers the area of the former sand mine and its immediate surroundings, which was operated in the years 1973-1991.
The reservoir consists of two reservoirs: a smaller and a larger water reservoir. There is a total ban on bathing on it.
Lipowica has become an extremely tourist-friendly place. Thanks to revitalization works, it gained a completely new face. One thing has remained unchanged - it is still a charming place where you can rest while observing the surrounding nature. The reservoir itself is located near the confluence of two rivers - Bobrza and Czarna Nida. This creates excellent conditions for watching many species of birds. Viewpoints will certainly help you in observation. It is probably unlikely that you will see the largest Polish rodent here - the beaver. But it is very easy, especially on tree trunks above the reservoir, to notice traces of the activity of this species.
You can learn about the natural attractions that await you in Lipowica from the educational boards set up here. There are safe, pedestrian and bicycle paths separated from car traffic by the reservoir. No wonder that this place is especially appreciated by parents who can let their little ones have a lot of freedom here. Kids also love walking on the swinging bridges.
Lipowica invites you to relax. It's a nice gesture to keep the peace and quiet here. It will certainly be appreciated by other walkers, the surrounding nature and anglers who willingly use the roofed positions organized here.
