Reservoir in the Kadzielnia Nature Reserve in Kielce

Pakosz , 25-035 Kielce

Also called Emerald Lake

A self-made water reservoir, which over time gained the name of the Emerald Lake. Unfortunately, already in the 60's and 70's of the last century, water began to disappear, which was caused by increased water intake from the municipal intakes of Wojska Polskiego Street, Kielce-Białogon and Zakład Łożysk Rolling "Iskra". At the turn of the 1970s and 1980s, attempts were made to restore the water level in the reservoir, e.g. by supplying water from the municipal water supply or from the Silnica River. The same problem repeated itself - a large degree and irregularity of cracks in the rock mass and high costs of water distribution from the municipal water supply intakes.
