Recently, a hiking trail has been running through the area of the reservoir on the Belnianka River.
If you plan to hike the trail in summer, remember to pack a towel and swimming trunks! The reservoir itself covers over 36 hectares - the surface of the basin would therefore fit 50 full-size football pitches.
For safety reasons, the reservoir in Borków will be closed to sunbathers for the next 3 years, i.e. until 2025. The reason for this is the expert opinion of the Regional Water Management Authority in Krakow, which showed that the dam and the reservoir itself require urgent renovation. Forecast in the event of a powerful flood wave, sudden and continuous rainfall may lead to a catastrophic situation that took place 20 years ago, when the water broke the embankments.
