The Kamienna River is the left tributary of the Vistula in the province of Świętokrzyskie. Almost the entire section runs through the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, but the source and estuary are located in the southern outskirts of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship.
In the past, this river was the main source of energy for the operation of machines in the Old Polish Industrial District, which was developing here in the 19th century. Located near Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, the ruins of the rolling mill of fine sections and sheets in Nietulisko Duże are the remains of the plant constituting the last link of the so-called "A continuous plant of" iron "factories on the Kamienna River.
The Kamienna River is currently used, among others, by for recreation. Interested persons can take advantage of the offer of individual or organized canoeing trips.
