The Tomb of Victims of German Terror 1940 in Bor.
After a hard investigation, nearly 360 detainees were shot in a suburban forest near the Bór housing estate (February 12-14, 1940). The remaining prisoners were transported to Radom, and then most of them were executed or deported to concentration camps. The pretext for carrying out the extermination action was to break up the local structures of the White Eagle Organization, but its real goal was probably the liquidation of the Polish social and intellectual elite in Skarżysko-Kamienna.
