Monument to the memory of the battle at Jeziorko on May 5, 1863.
It was then that one of the largest and one of the few victorious battles of the January insurgents took place in the vicinity of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. Colonel Dionizy Czachowski led the insurgents to victory with the Russian army. 3 officers and 90 Russian soldiers were killed in the battle. The losses on the side of the insurgents amounted to 8 killed and 22 wounded. The Russian fleet fell into Polish hands, in which a dozen or so pieces of handcuffs for the insurgents were found, and over 100 rifles and ammunition were also obtained.
