In the city center, along Aleja Armii Krajowej, about 400 m long, there is a geological exposure, recognized since 1987 as a monument of inanimate nature.
It is made up of a rock wall from 4 to 8 m high, which was partly created by the exploitation of sandstones, and partly by natural means. It is built of fine and coarse-grained Lower Jurassic sandstones, almost 200 million years old. The history of the last war is also connected with the rocks. In their vicinity, at today's ul. Staszica, the Germans established a labor camp for Jews, which they used for armaments production. Some rocks feature bullet-like depressions. There was probably an execution site there.
