Monument to the Legionnaire Deed in Kielce - Four - this is how it is used to talk about the monument, which stands in the square in front of the Provincial House of Culture named after Józef Piłsudski - the commander of the soldiers immortalized on the monument.
Kielce is a place on the historic combat route of Cadre Company, which gave rise to the Polish Legions. The monument itself was unveiled in October 1938.
The original work of an outstanding sculptor, Jan Raszka, however, it fell victim to the turmoil of war in the fall of 1939. It took over 50 years to rebuild the monument. For some time about the deed Legionaries were informed not by the sculpture, but by the content of the commemorative plaque placed here. The present monument, which is a faithful copy of the first "Four", stands on the square in front of the Provincial House of Culture since 1991.
