The construction of the blast furnace in Mostki lasted from 1748 to 1759.

It had the shape of a cuboid, which made it a unique structure in the industrial world. It was considered a monument of blast furnace art in the interwar period. In 1942, at the behest of German soldiers, it was pulled down by the local population.

At the blast furnace, there were: a dome furnace, a sawmill, a brickyard, a lime plant and a foundry.
