In the village there is the longest cave in Poland outside the Tatra Mountains - Chelosiowa Jama, discovered in 1972 during the liquidation of the Devonian limestone quarry "Jaworznia".
In 1997, a reserve with an area of 25.83 ha was established here. The entrances to the caves connected within the deposit - Jaworznicka and Chelosiowa Jama - are secured and it is not possible to visit them.
In the Kingdom of Poland (1832 - 1918) there was a commune of Jaworznia.
