The village lies at the fork of the Bobrza and Łososina rivers, known as the Wierna Rzeka.
Its origins date back to the 11th century, and one of the first written mentions of these areas is the information about the sanctum of the Piekoszów parish, dated 1337. The areas around the city are a true geology lovers' paradise. Piekoszów's showcase is the Sanctuary with a wonderful 17th-century painting of the Madonna and Child.
