There is not much information about this small town. The village probably already existed at the end of the 14th century, and its owner was Mikołaj, son of Andrzej.
It was not until 1423 that the Bolmins acquired the Mokrski of the Jelita coat of arms. Then the village passed into the hands of Mikołaj and Krzesław from Chotów and Piotr Bolmiński.
In Bolmin, it is worth seeing the church of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary from 1602-1617 with valuable furnishings and the remains of a Renaissance manor house built at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries (an example of a brick noble residence that appeared in Poland in the 16th century). In this town there is also a water reservoir, created in the excavation of the old sandpit, with an area of approx. 11 ha and a depth of up to 5 m, fed by the tributary of the Biała Nida River. The lagoon is a great place for rest and recreation.
