The existence of the town of Bieliny, picturesquely situated on the Belnianka River, is confirmed by sources from the 15th century.
The first mentions of Bieliny are related to the monastery on the Holy Cross and the establishment of the boundaries running through it, between the property of the Benedictine Świętokrzyskie abbey and the properties of the bishops of Kraków and Włocławek.
In Bieliny, you can see a unique complex of wooden, 19th-century roadside chapels, built in honor of patron saints, as well as examples of old wooden folk architecture, including houses from the beginning XX century.
On the hill, in the center of Bieliny, there is the Church of St. St. Józef the Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary, erected in the first half of the 17th century. There is a legend connected with the construction of the temple about the Kak robber from the Świętokrzyskie region, who was supposed to have his seat on the southern slope of Łysica, and whose loot, found "in Lipka in Kakonin", was to be largely covered by the cost of building the church.
