Church of Of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Zagórze district of Kielce is a transformed former historic wooden chapel. Our Lady of Częstochowa, built on the initiative of the priest of the Kielce collegiate church, Fr. Józef Ćwikliński in 1865. In 1982. the chapel was expanded by adding an annex to the nave.
Its interior was also transformed and the beam ceiling was removed. In 1990, a two-story brick belfry was built next to the church. In the presbytery there is the main altar with a painting of Our Lady of Częstochowa. The interior of the church is paneled. On the walls there are bas-reliefs depicting individual scenes of the Way of the Cross.
Inside the church, next to the door on the south side, there is a plaque dedicated to the soldiers of the National Armed Forces from the Zagórze post who died in the fight for Polish independence in 1941-1956 (unveiled and consecrated on July 2, 1995). Currently, it is a branch church of the parish of Our Lady of Częstochowa in Mójcza.
