War grave under Wykus

51°00'56"N 20°58'02"E (51.015833, 20.967367)

This mass grave does not hide the remains of partisans from the Warsaw Platoon.

This grave dates from 1944 and we know relatively little about it. Captured in a few photos right after the end of hostilities, it looked different then, fenced off with a fence. In 1945, the birch cross was replaced with a more durable, oak cross with a cast eagle with a crown.
