The historic wayside shrine of St. Katarzyna stands in the middle of the Kurzacze forest near Kunów.

It is considered the oldest free-standing chapel in Poland. It was founded in 1430 by the bishop of Kraków, Zbigniew Oleśnicki. This is evidenced by the coat of arms of the hierarch placed above the entrance to the chapel.
