A windmill that used to be somewhat forgotten on a hill, today pleases the eyes of passers-by and hikers who will visit Krasocin.
The Dutch windmill was built of Pińczów stone in the interwar period of the 20th century. Severely damaged during the war, in the 1980s it became for a moment the home of the Krasocki Bread Museum, which was established on the initiative of a local patriot - Feliks Rak.
Unfortunately, the museum soon had to cease its activities and the windmill fell into disrepair. Today, thanks to revitalization works, this symbol of Krasocin, standing on a small hill, has completely changed its face. The Dutchman gained, among other things, new larch wings with an impressive 15-meter wingspan and a new, impressive stone cover of a massive, immobile stone base.
The windmill prepared in this way once again hosted the Bread Museum, this time managed by the local library. The unusual exhibition organized on 3 floors was created thanks to the efforts of the residents who willingly left their home and family souvenirs here. You will see old agricultural tools here, and on the walls - old photographs showing the life of the village 50 or even 80 years ago.
