Execution in the Brzask forest - a mass execution of Polish citizens was carried out by the German occupiers on June 29, 1940 in the Brzask forest near Skarżysko-Kamienna.
During the day-long massacre, about 760 people were shot by SS and German police officers. Among the murdered there were, among others members of Polish underground organizations and representatives of the social and intellectual elite from the pre-war Kielce voivodeship, arrested under the so-called AB shares. The murder in Brzask was the largest execution carried out in the Kielce region during the German occupation.
