Iłża is a town with a rich history, which is evidenced by the castle towering over it, erected thanks to the efforts of the bishops of Krakow. To learn more about the history of this town, head to the Regional Museum.

Already in the 15th century, the church of St. st. Spirit and a poorhouse. In the eighteenth century, the building was replaced with a new one. It is in this small place with great history that the Regional Museum is located.

Thanks to the exhibits gathered here, you will learn, among other things, that Iłża was one of the largest pottery centers in Poland, which flourished in the 16th and 17th centuries. At that time, Iłżec pottery products were popular not only in the country, but also in distant Scandinavia.
