Lubianka is an ideal place for hiking or cycling. And thanks to the revitalization works, there is a great chance that the reservoir will become a showcase of Starachowice and a place of rest often chosen by sunbathers.
The Lubianka Reservoir was established in the 1980s on a small river of the same name. At that time, an earth frontal dam with an overflow weir was built.
In 2019, the dam and weir on Lubianka underwent a thorough renovation. The main work involved the semi-circular wall of the spillway. For the safety of walkers, the causeway crown slabs were repaired or replaced, and the railings were repainted.
Of course, the works covered the entire structure, thanks to which the safety of the Lubianka lagoon was ensured for many years.
These are not the only changes that have taken place in the area recently. The reservoir itself and its immediate surroundings also became more beautiful. Sunbathers and tourists can rent water equipment, walk along the pier with a viewpoint or relax on one of the 2 beaches.
