"When we are no more, the stones will talk about you" - this meaningful sentence best reflects the nature of the forest monument.
You will find the monument right next to the parking lot and the forest rest area. This is a proof that the forests of Starachowice were a place of active resistance against the Nazi occupation, and that foresters from nearby outposts - Klepacze, Kutery, Marcule and Starachowice - were also involved in the defense of Poland's independence.
The foresters acted both as members of the resistance movement and partisans in the units of the Home Army, the People's Army or the Peasant Battalions.
