Crag and Tail Gypsy cope

51°02'12"N 20°58'41"E (51.036833, 20.978167)

Under this common name there is nothing else but a group of 3 sandstone rock blocks hidden among the forests south of Wąchock.

Gypsy kapa, today recognized as a natural monument, is a rock threshold, the height of which reaches 3.5, and the length - up to 40 meters. The rocks that make it up were formed in the Lower Triassic, around 250 million years ago.

From the south, the threshold is strongly undercut. In the middle rock you will find a niche in which even a few tourists can fit. Perhaps the fact that you can hide here (like under a cover) gave this place its name. According to local records, both Gypsies and January insurgents stationed nearby sought shelter here.
