In Radkowice, by the road, there is an atmospheric wooden church, picturesquely integrated into the landscape of the village. It's hard to believe that the temple "came here" from a completely different place.

The church was originally erected in the 17th century not in Radkowice, but in Miedzierza (a town near Końskie). The building was very lucky - it was preserved in excellent condition until the beginning of the 20th century.

When a new temple was built in Miedzierza, the wooden church was no longer needed. In the 1950s, a decision was made to move it to Radkowice, where it has been serving as a parish church since 1972.

Interestingly, the orientation of the temple was changed during the relocation. In Miedzierza, the presbytery (and therefore the part with the altar) was facing east. In Radkowice, the church was founded in such a way that the presbytery is stretched to the west.

It is worth going inside to see the climatic decoration of the walls (polychrome) and 3 baroque altars with statues of saints. With a bit of luck, during your visit to Radkowice, the interior of the church will gain additional charm when it is illuminated by the rays of the sun coming through the 17th-century windows with panes in yellow and red colors.
