The history of Włoszczowa as a city center dates back to the 16th century, when the owner of the city, Hieronim Szafraniec, obtained a location privilege from King Sigismund I the Old in 1539, and thus also city rights. At that time, the main square of the city - the market square - was also marked out.
Today, surrounded by low, two-story buildings, after the revitalization is completed, it is considered one of the most beautiful squares in Poland.
Benches and urban greenery - flowers and ubiquitous trees - invite you to rest. In the season, there is a fountain illuminated in the evening.
Your attention will also be drawn to the historic figure of Saint Florian - it was placed in the 19th century after a series of fires that consumed the city.
