Consistent work of breeders, almost 70 years of experience and perfect natural conditions that Ponidzie creates for the most beautiful animals in the world - these are the elements that make up the success of one of the most famous Arabian horse studs.
The history of the Michałów stud begins in 1953, when horses from the liquidated stud in Klemensów (in the present Lubelskie Voivodeship) were accepted here. Experts decided to transfer the breeding, who recognized that Ponidzie has a favorable environment for Arabian horses.
Arabian horses from Michałów began to come to the United States in the 1960s, and the 1970s brought them the beginning of an uninterrupted series of successes in championships in Poland, Europe and around the world.
In addition to breeding Arabian horses, the stud specializes in Lesser Poland horses with a characteristic tarant coat. Guests arriving at the stud are greeted by a small herd of hardy Shetland ponies.
If you are planning a visit to Michałów, remember that you need to make an appointment to visit the stud farm in advance. It is also worth checking if there are no open days at the farm.
